My name is Monica Rosenfeld. I’m a professional speaker and the founder of WordStorm PR. Over five weeks, I’m sharing five news worthy angles that you can use to get your brand in the media. And today I’m going to talk about case studies.
If you have transformed the life of your client or customer through your service offering or your product, it’s brilliant publicity if that person can share how you made a difference to them in the media. We’re currently using this strategy with our client ShopBack. So essentially we’ve found one of the customers of ShopBack who has accumulated a fair amount of cash simply by starting their online shopping through the Shopback app. They’re being interviewed by The Today Show next week and are also being interviewed by Money Magazine and Nine Honey and the pitching has literally just started.
Similarly we’re using this strategy for our client Clubbercise. Clubbercise is a UK workout really fun workout that’s offered in gyms all over the place and it’s really hitting the shores in Australia this year. The very first gym to take on Clubbercise was Kingdom Gym in Sydney and it really transformed their business. So we’ve told their story to the media and they’ve been on morning shows several times on online news sites with backlinks, newspapers, magazines you name it they’ve been published in it.
When we talk about this strategy to clients they all say “Oh yes I have lots of case studies lots and lots of happy clients” but having happy clients isn’t enough. Yet those people need to be willing to be photographed and featured in newspapers and high profile online news sites and maybe even be interviewed live on TV. So the place to start is to think about who are your raving fans who have you really helped with your business and who absolutely loves you. And then talk to them about the fact that you’re doing publicity for your business and it’s a great opportunity for them to help other people by sharing how you’ve helped them. Now if they own a business it’s great publicity for them too so it’s really a win-win situation.
So if you would like to ask me any questions. As always feel free to get in touch if you think your network can benefit from this information. Feel free to share or comment and I look forward to talking to you next week.
