Dream Dots

By reaching out to key beauty bloggers, this new brand saw an explosion of social chatter and buzz and the PR helped secure retailers such as Priceline

WordStorm PR was engaged by the distributor of Dream Dots, Pacific SMM to help open doors to major retailers in the pharmacy industry.

Dream Dots was created by Donna Ledwidge in 2012 when she set out to create a targeted spot treatment that doesn’t dry out the spot or the skin around it. The product has been modelled on devices used in hospitals for severe burns and wounds. The small patch is an absorbent hydro matrix patch device. It is 100% waterproof, breathable, bio-compatible and suitable for all skin types.

WordStorm PR reached out to key beauty and lifestyle bloggers as well as make-up artists and sent them the product to trial. Not only did bloggers find Dream Dots to be very easy to use, particularly for travelling and applying on-the-go, but they found the product to be very effective and cleared up their spots quickly. Make-up artists recommended and shared the products with their clients.

A send-out to traditional media led to media coverage in publications mainstream and niche publications.

Throughout the campaign, WordStorm PR was proactive in sourcing relevant sampling opportunities to increase exposure for Dream Dots. The product was given to World Supermodel Australia models and samples were also provided to Gold FM’s promotional vehicle giveaway which resulted in multiple on-air mentions.

“I received so much positive feedback from media, bloggers and make-up artists about this product. They all commented on how effective and how easy Dream Dots is to use. Beauty bloggers were so impressed that some who discovered Dream Dots through word of mouth even contacted me requesting for samples so they could review it on their blog and share about it on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Many make-up artists commented on how useful Dream Dots was for their clients and that they would recommend it to others.”

The client, Pam Wilson from Pacific SMM commented, “This is all fabulous – thank you so much for sending through!”.
