Platform72

A conversation in which the founder mentioned she had been a “terrible employee” led to a positive story in AFR and multiple other stories in key business press.

Platform72 is a hybrid art gallery and retail store housing an eclectic mix of high quality artworks and Australian designer homewares, jewellery and accessories for all ages and all budgets. Platform72 is curated by artists to commercially support the artists and designers exhibiting.

When Juliet mentioned in a meeting with WordStorm PR that she had been a terrible employee before launching her own business, we knew instantly that this was a hook that would appeal to business press. We pitched the story to the Australian Financial Review and it led to a half-page article about Juliet and her success with Platform72.

In a period of six months, we secured 272 pieces of media coverage. We did this by coming up with story angles. The media will never write about one brand with one story close to 300 times, but by coming up with angles, this amount of exposure is within reach. We focused on Juliet’s story, artist profiles, product placement at key times of the year such as Father’s Day, art exhibitions and expert commentary such as how to pick art that is right for your space.

Media coverage appeared in outlets such as The Weekend Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The Canberra Times, The Age, Dynamic Business, Sky Business News, body + soul, Time Out, New Idea, WA Today, The Herald Sun, Adelaide Now, The Courier Mail, Smarter Business Ideas, News.com.au, Real Living, Anthill, The Sunday Mail, Brisbane Times, The Sunday Age, The Inner West Courier and Maxim.

“Working with Monica and the team at WordStorm feels like a real partnership.  They are invested in helping you get exceptional coverage.  They listen to where you are wanting to go and change strategies very quickly to accommodate the rapidly changing requirements of your business.  From the word go, they delivered results in great coverage for my business.  Overall they delivered incredible results, far reaching, quality articles from many different angles.  I was very impressed with the professionalism, the responsiveness and overall results.  I look forward to working with them again in the near future!”
