Tips to perfect skin and hair this summer

Summer time brings out the simple pleasures in life- weekends at the beach, BBQ with friends, watermelon and delicious cocktails by the sea. However it’s not all fun in the sun. Summer can bring with it heat and humidity, which can cause havoc on our skin and hair. The hot days can cause breakouts and clogged pore, which is not fun for any one.

Here are some tips to ensure that your hair stays silky smooth and your skin doesn’t represent a beetroot this summer.

Moisturise – Listen up, hydration is the key. Swap your heavy cream based moisturisers for something light, like a serum. This applies to your hair as well. The heat can cause your hair to become dry and dull, so don’t forget to condition and nourish your locks.  Seven Wonders Moroccan Argan Oil for Hair and Skin helps keep your skin hydrated and nourish. Plus they come in hand travel size packs, so even at the beach you can have vibrant, healthy hair and gorgeous feeling skin!

Slip, Slop, Slap – SPF is crucial if you want to keep your skin young and fresh. It will help prevent age spots and wrinkles damage, not to mention protection against skin cancer. Sunscreen is not just a beach thing; it’s an every day thing. Got it? The Cancer Council recommends all sunscreens be re-applied every 2 hours if you are swimmer or exercising. So don’t forget.

Exfoliate – It removes all the dead, dull skin that cause congestion and hinder skin hydration. Do this prior to apply moisturiser and SPF. Your skin will thank you for it. Exfoliating will help clean and smooth out your skin.  Try Qsilica’s Soothing Facial Exfoliator. Not only does it work to unblock pore, but Qsilica focuses on the belief that what you put on your skin should be as pure and wholesome as possible, providing nutrients that give results.

Lips – Don’t forget these little bad boys. Summer can cause all sorts of trouble for our poor lips. Enter Qsilica RESCUE Paw Paw Ointment to the rescue.  This petrochemical-free natural balm soothes, nourishes and repairs damaged skin and chapped lips, making it an essential addition to any handbag and desk drawer.

Hydrate – We have all heard it before. Celebrities, supermodels, and beauty gurus all say that water is the key to good skin. Judging by their amazing skin, I think they might be onto something. Have 8 glasses a day to keep your skin healthy.
